PORT AUTHORITY 2020 BOARD MEETINGS ANNOUNCED

HEATH, OHIO – The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority announced its Board of Director’s meeting schedule for 2020. The meetings are held starting at 3:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every other month in the conference room at the Port Authority offices, 851 Irving-Wick Drive West, Heath.

The schedule is as follows:

February 11
April 14
June 9
August 11
October 13
December 8

Board meetings are preceded, at 2:30 p.m., by regular meetings of the Port Authority standing committees, if needed. The committees include finance, personnel, community projects, and planning.

The Board of Directors consists of nine members, three appointed by each of the City of Heath, City of Newark, and Licking County Commissioners. Board meetings and committee meetings are open to the public. For more information, visit the Port Authority’s web site at hnlcpa.com.

PORT AUTHORITY ELECTS OFFICERS

HEATH, OHIO – The Board of Directors of the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority elected officers at its regular June meeting. Stephen Layman was re-elected Chairman and Fred Paul was re-elected Vice Chairman/Secretary for one-year terms.

Layman has served as Chairman of the Port Authority Board since June 1998. He is a Licking County appointee to the Board and is a real estate broker with Shai Commercial Real Estate.

Paul was elected to his fifth term as Vice Chairman/Secretary. He is a Heath appointee to the Board and is retired from Rockwell and C-TEC.

The Board of Directors consists of nine members, three appointed by each of the City of Heath, City of Newark, and Licking County Commissioners. The Port Authority owns and develops the Central Ohio Aerospace & Technology Center in Heath and is the largest self-sustaining port authority in Ohio.

PORT AUTHORITY RECOGNIZES 10 YEARS OF SERVICE

HEATH, OHIO — The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority recently recognized Erin Grigsby for 10 years of service. Erin is Director, Finance and Compliance for the Port Authority. She began in June 2009.

Erin was recognized at the recent Port Authority Board of Directors meeting with a certificate of achievement.

Erin is a graduate of Whitehall High School and Capital University. She resides with her husband in Newark.

PORT AUTHORITY BOARD SPECIAL MEETING ANNOUNCED

HEATH, OHIO – The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority has scheduled a special meeting of the Board of Directors, for Tuesday, May 14 at 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the boardroom of the Port Authority offices at 851 Irving Wick Drive West, Heath, Ohio. The Board is expected to consider action on a resolution to provide financing for a development project proposed in Etna Township and meet in executive session to consider real property matters in Heath.

REP. BALDERSON TO TOUR AEROSPACE CENTER FACILITIES IN HEATH

HEATH, OHIO — The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority will host U.S. Representative Troy Balderson for a tour of five industrial facilities on the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center in Heath on Friday, March 29, 2019. The Port Authority is hosting the visit as what it is calling a “deep dive” look at defense industry, manufacturing, infrastructure, and workforce topics at its campus in Heath.

The Aerospace Center is manufacturing-oriented and the largest defense-related facility in the 12th Congressional District employing 1,425 people in manufacturing and defense industries.

Media are invited to take part in the tours, in part or in whole. The tour begins via bus at 10:00 a.m. departing from the Port Authority administrative building and will return to the building at 12:00 p.m. The tours will commence in 15-minute increments along with travel time between stops.
