LAST CHANCE TO GET BASE COMMEMORATIVE

This really is the last word on this.  Boeing, Bionetics, BAE Systems, the Heath Rec Center, the Port Authority, and the Licking County Chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) have joined forces to benefit the United Way of Licking County.  Wooden, eight-inch by three-and-one-half inch commemoratives of the Base manufactured by Ohio-based Cat’s Meow are now available for sale for just $20.  The deadline for this one-time chance is this Friday!  See the team captain at your organization to order yours today.  The captains are:

·         Dawn Pettit, Boeing

·         Debra Hamrick, Bionetics

·         Jennifer Piciucco, BAE Systems

·         Rhonda White, Heath Rec Center

·         Dennis Rogers, Port Authority

·         Lorraine Waller, United Way

·         Janet Casler, NARFE

IMPORTANT MILESTONE ACHIEVED FOR SOUTH CAMPUS

Port Authority Board approval of the contract for the Kaiser Drive extension was received Monday.  This action, followed by a Notice to Proceed being issued to contractor R.F. Scurlock, marks a milestone in development of the Port Authority’s new COATC South Campus.  This roadway upgrade, extension, and storm water project will bring the first major infrastructure improvements to this property in over 50 years.  Watch us grow!

PORT AUTHORITY PULLS HAT TRICK ON NATIONAL RECOGNITION

Yesterday’s mail brought news of the Port Authority being recognized in national trade publication TFM (Today’s Facility Manager) for its property management technological capabilities.  The columnist used buzz words like “impressive” and “ambitious” while touting the cost effectiveness of the Authority’s wireless network system.  This recognition comes on the heels of the Davis Instruments’ Weather Club e-News write-up on the weather station and just ahead of Profiles in Privatization expected to be published this month by the National Association of Installation Developers (NAID).
