NEWARK AFB: 10 YEARS LATER

The Advocate gives front-page coverage to COATC two days in a row as a two-part series reviewing the impact and status of the Base while relaying the human side of ten years since announcement of the closing of the Newark Air Force Base.  See what others have to say about COATC.   GO TO:  http://coatc.com/news/10yearslater.htm

IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN

This is a mia culpa.  The Port Authority recently contracted for the painting of on-campus buildings.  The color choice was shades of green—attempting to introduce a new color scheme to the array of colors used on the Base. When Building 20/12 was painted, however, the mint green color choice proved to be a bad choice—really bad.  The contractor has been ordered to make changes.  The color schemes employed on the Base will now be limited to those currently in use and Building 20 will be repainted. AUCTION 24/7/365

The Port Authority often has excess property for sale.  Currently, the first test of an on-line auction system, GovDeals.com, is underway.  The first item up for bids on the site is a 1992 Chevy pick-up truck with snow blade equipment.  It’s there through July 14th.  GO TO:  http://coatc.com/auction.
