The Port Authority’s web site now includes a new system for COATC personnel to enter news items for immediate display on line. The On Target COATC News section is intended as a way for COATC tenants to communicate news items and upcoming events with others on the campus and with the community. V.I.P. VISITS BECOMING ROUTINE

The last three months have seen a flurry of visits by V.I.P.’s, which we hope will become routine. Visits by government officials are part of the Port Authority’s government relations strategy to build a caucus of federal, state, and local officials. We hope this caucus will have a greater knowledge of the COATC and stand ready to help the Port Authority and our COATC partners get a foot in the door with future development projects.

The October visit by U.S. Senator Voinovich was the highest profile of the visits. It attracted attention among local elected officials as well. We also expect visits soon by U.S. Representative Bob Ney and Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder. We also have had or soon expect visits by staff for Senator DeWine, Congressman Ney, Congressman Hobson, Governor Taft, the Ohio Aerospace and Defense Council, and the Ohio Department of Development. HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

On Wednesday, December 11, the Port Authority offices will be host to a holiday luncheon open house for our customers and those we do business with and have contact with on a regular basis.
