HEATH, OHIO -- The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority will host Ohio gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray for a briefing on the Port Authority’s Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center in Heath as part of a tour of the MISTRAS Group laboratories on Tuesday, September 11.

The Aerospace Center is a manufacturing-focused business park with a combined over 1,325 people employed. Under a build-to-suit lease with the Port Authority, MISTRAS Group opened a state-of-the-art, non-destructive testing laboratory serving aerospace, defense, energy, and advanced materials industries in December 2015. The tour will include discussions on manufacturing, infrastructure, workforce development, and defense industry jobs.

Media are invited to take part in the tour which begins at 1:30 p.m.
