PORT AUTHORITY ELECTS OFFICERS

HEATH, OHIO – The Board of Directors of the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority elected officers at its regular June meeting. Stephen Layman was re-elected Chairman and Fred Paul was re-elected Vice Chairman/Secretary for one-year terms.

Layman has served as Chairman of the Port Authority Board since June 1998. He is a Licking County appointee to the Board and is a principal with Anderson Layman in Newark.

Paul was elected to his third term as Vice Chairman/Secretary. He is a Heath appointee to the Board and is retired from Rockwell and C-TEC.

In other action, the Board swore in three members. Frank Flynn of Heath, Jim Lenner of Johnstown, and Bill Wilson of Newark were reappointment as Directors.

The Board of Directors consists of nine members, three appointed by each of the City of Heath, City of Newark, and Licking County Commissioners. The Port Authority owns and develops the Central Ohio Aerospace & Technology Center in Heath and is the largest self-sustaining port authority in Ohio.
