         SMALL BUSINESS COUNSELING SERVICES ANNOUNCED
 Port Authority Partners with Small Business Development Centers

HEATH – Small business counseling office hours have been scheduled for
Wednesday, October 9, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the offices 
of the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority, 851 Irving-Wick Drive 
West, Heath.  Free counseling services will be provided through 
professional staff from the Central Ohio Manufacturing Small Business 
Development Center and the Small Business Development Center of Newark 
and Licking County.  Individuals considering starting a new business or 
expanding an existing small business are encouraged to attend. 

These office hours are part of a series of efforts aimed at encouraging 
entrepreneurship and sparking business development at the Port 
Authority’s Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center campus, the 
former Newark Air Force Base.  Future office hours and a seminar on 
“How to Start a Business” are also planned for future dates.  For more
