PORT AUTHORITY TO HOST ROADWAY/BRIDGE PROJECT GROUNDBREAKING

HEATH, OHIO – The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for its James Parkway Extension Project in Heath, for Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the northern terminus of the future roadway and bridge on Irving Wick Dr. West, Heath, Ohio approximately 1,000 feet east of the entrance.

The $2.9 million project was authorized by the Port Authority Board of Directors in December. The contract with Layton Excavating of Newark was signed today after a complaint previously filed with Licking Common Pleas Court by the next lowest bidder was dismissed.
