From roads to roofs and from water lines to parking
spaces, a wide array of capital projects are on the
radar screen for the Port Authority in 2004.
The most visible project will be
replacement and repair of doorways at various points on Building 4 (Boeing
Building), including the main entrances, which is slated to start yet this
winter. An important project for future
development is the extension of
Wireless
is not just a fad, it’s the future. With
wireless telecommunications comes transmitters of all sorts—cell towers,
wireless internet, and more. The Port
Authority believes that the 160’ tall COATC water tower, prominent on the west
side of the COATC Base campus, makes an ideal location for such wireless
antennae. Marketing of the water tower is
underway for some time with some takers starting to take a more serious
look. Among the information provided to
prospective lessors is a 360º degree view from the
