Congressman Tiberi accepted an invitation from the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority to tour The Base and
get acquainted with the people and work of the tenants here. The invitation was part of the Port Authority's ongoing
caucus-building strategy aimed at increasing knowledge among federal, state, and local officials about the value and impact
of the COATC. Tiberi's 12th District is home for more than 40% of the on-Base personnel.
The Congressman was updated on the status of the government contracts in place among the COATC tenants as well as future plans.
His visit included a windshield tour of The Base conducted by the Port Authority, a tour of the Boeing Guidance Repair Center with
officials from Boeing, and briefings from Boeing, Bionetics, and AFMETCAL.
