HEATH, OHIO – John Vermaaten has been named Director, Facilities and Operations with the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority as part of a recent promotion. The Port Authority also reorganized the financial position with the organization.

Vermaaten first joined the Port Authority in 1998, serving as Project Manager since 2005. The Director, Facilities and Operations is a new position with the Port Authority responsible for facility management as well as overseeing technology, environmental, and engineering services operations for the Port Authority. Vermaaten is a graduate of Newark High School. He resides in Newark with his wife, Rita.

Also, Erin Grigsby was named Director, Finance and Compliance, having served as Finance Manager of the Port Authority since 2009. Grigsby is responsible for oversight of Port Authority financial- and compliance-related matters, including accounts payable, investments, safety, security, insurance, and human resources. She is a Capital University graduate and resides in Newark with her husband, Brad.
