Southgate Corporation and the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority, in cooperation with Columbus Regional Airport Authority, Newark & Licking County Chamber of Commerce, and Licking County Planning Commission, jointly hosted an informational seminar aimed at better acquainting business and local development officials with the advantages of Licking County’s newest economic development tool—Foreign Trade Zone #138.

The photo at right depicts County Commissioner Marcia Phelps providing welcoming remarks. Attendees learned there are more benefits to a FTZ than meets the eye. Companies that import and/or export may find a competitive edge. You don’t have to be located in the FTZ to realize the benefits of the FTZ.
