Caucus
The Port Authority maintains a caucus of informed supporters among federal, state, and local officials.

The Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center (COATC) needs to act as if it were still an Air Force Base in order to sustain and grow the government workload here.

V.I.P. visits are a regular part of the Port Authority's caucus-building strategy. Recent visits include:
  Ohio Governor Ted Strickland
  U.S. Senator George Voinovich
  U.S. Rep. Zack Space
  U.S. Rep. Pat Tiberi
  State Treasurer Richard Cordray
  State Senator Joy Padgett
  State Representive Jay Hottinger
  State Representive Dan Dodd

Legislative Representation
A break-out of the legislative representation where COATC personnel live was completed in January 2008.

Ohio Aerospace Day
May 7 saw a public-private group spend a day in the state capitol, as part of Ohio Aerospace Day. Meetings with Senator Schaffer, Representative Hottinger, and Representative Dodd were part of a series of state-level events.

2008 DC Fly-In
The Port Authority led a public-private delegation to Washington D.C. An 11-person contingent met with U.S. Senator Brown, Congressman Space, and Congressman Tiberi. An Ohio delegation briefing reached out to a wider audience from among Ohio's Congressional delegation.

2006 Legis Day
On August 29, 2006 a series of briefings was held with staff of various federal and state officials.
